About Us
Live-Well Medical Consultants, Inc. is a Georgia-based and born company that performs objective, independent medical evaluations. We have a network of Providers who are knowledgeable, compassionate and attentive. Our consultative examinations as well as Compensation and Pension (C&P) Exams are delivered with rapid turnaround times. Examinations and reports are comprehensive and reliable and reviewed by our Medical Director.
We work hard to achieve a high-level of customer satisfaction with our inviting office and professional staff who treats Claimants and Veterans with dignity and respect. What sets us apart from other companies is that we offer full support to our Providers as we aim to deliver quality services. We are very accessible to our clients and strive to accommodate their needs and requests. Consultative Examinations
A Consultative Examination (CE) is a type of exam or test that is scheduled by Disability Adjudication Services (at no cost to you) for further evaluation of your reported medical condition(s). DAS uses CEs to gather more evidence on a Claimant’s alleged condition(s) before issuing a decision.
VA Compensation & Pension Exams
A Compensation and Pension (C&P) exam is a type of exam or test that is scheduled through the VA (at no cost to you) for evaluation of a Veteran’s reported medical condition(s). VA uses C&P exams to gather more evidence on a Veteran’s claimed condition(s) before issuing a decision and assigning a rating.

Meet
Our Medical Director
Rita Livingston, MD, MPH, is a board certified Preventist. She trained at the Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA where she also earned her master’s degree in Public Health, graduating summa cum laude. She has worked in occupational medicine for more than ten years, formerly serving as medical director at a clinic in Savannah, GA, prior to serving as a medical officer for the United States Army, Medical Evaluation Board.
Dr. Livingston currently serves as the Medical Director of Live-Well Medical Consultants, LLC and brings more than a decade of experience to the industry. She believes in high-quality service and professionalism and insists that individuals are treated with dignity and respect. She is dedicated to leadership on several community boards and local organizations including the South Atlantic Medical Association and the Alfred E. Beach High School Health Science Advisory Committee. She also serves as member of the American Medical Association (AMA) Guides Editorial Panel. The AMA Guides Editorial Panel process ensures collaboration among stakeholders and the best possible information for performing impairment evaluations.

FAQ
Does anyone at Live-Well Medical Consultants, LLC make decisions about my claims?
A: Providers at our office are responsible for gathering your medical information and reporting it in a clear and concise format in accordance with guidelines and procedures from the requesting agency. The information becomes a part of your case file and is used to further adjudicate your claims. Our Providers DO NOT make disability determinations.
How do I get scheduled for an examination?
A: Examinations are scheduled through the requesting agency. You should contact your state or VA representative, apply for benefits and have an exam scheduled on your behalf. We are not able to schedule appointments.
What if I have an appointment but I need to reschedule it?
A: To reschedule or cancel your previously scheduled appointment, you will need to contact the agency representative who scheduled the appointment for you. Our office is not able to schedule or reschedule appointments.
What if I am feeling ill, have been diagnosed with Covid-19 infection or have come in close contact with someone who may have Covid-19 infection?
A: Please do not attempt to make your scheduled appointment if you feel ill, have been diagnosed with Covid-19 infection, within the past 14 days or have come in close contact with someone who is or may have Covid-19 infection in the past 14 days. You will need to call your agency representative to reschedule your appointment instead.
What if I have already been seen but now have additional information or questions regarding my visit or would like to have a copy of my report?
A: Examinations are setup to be a one-time visit and all information is submitted to the requesting agency. We do not receive any additional information or feedback regarding your claims after your visit. If you have questions regarding your examination or additional information related to your claims or if you would like any documentation from your visit, you will need to contact your agency representative for instructions.
